Hank and I had the BEST week in Nashville. It was full of cousins, aunts, grandma, tacos, and a princess party. Uncle Drew babysat the kids twice so we could hear some great music--thanks again Drew!

Park Day and Hank's Little Red Bowl

He loves this thing--but he needs some new toys, he's been playing with our spatulas and tupperware all week.

First time on the swing--he loved it. I'll have to post some videos of him soon, because he laughed and laughed at the two-year old swinging next to him. So cute.

Almost Six Months

This sweetheart little boy eats up carrots, sweet potatoes, gags down green peas, and refuses squash. He rolls over from his back to his stomach and doesn't like taking naps because he is too busy practicing his new trick. We couldn't love anything more.

Another Attempt

Here I am again, trying to update this sad blog! I'm not going to worry about filling in the gaps, I'm just going to post some pictures of our quick trip to DC and Virginia last week. We had such a great time, saw the monuments, went to the Spy Museum, and extended our trip so we could see Monticello on the way home. Of course we ate delicious food. Cafe Rio, which was a total Provo flashback, Carlyle with our great friends Dave and Margaret, and 2Amy's which was fabulous, and we got some cupcakes at Sprinkles on the way out of town. Hank looks so much bigger in these pictures than the last post in October!

They were doing construction on the reflecting pool, but it was still nice to visit in February when it wasn't so crowded.

It doesn't get any better than this picture for me.

More Pictures of Hank

I guess I don't really care if people are getting overloaded with pictures of baby Hank. I can't handle how cute he is, and my awesome friend let me play with her camera the other day, so I have new material. I love how these turned out--and I'm seriously thinking I need a fancy new camera for Christmas this year...

Harrison

We've been just a bit busy for a few days now, but wanted to get a few pictures up so Melissa's letting me do a quick guest post. I think I'll just stick to pictures for the most part, because I can't possibly describe how we felt. Melissa was amazing and we're so happy to have Harrison with us.

Harrison's Nursery

Hey blog world, remember me? I've had a busy summer but it's time for my semi-annual visit back in this space to fill you in on what we've been doing. It's pretty clear from this post that Christopher and I are having a baby boy, due ANY DAY and we are so excited. Sorry if this kind of thing is totally boring to some of you, but hopefully in our next post we'll have more exciting news to report! I've never had so much fun putting a room together.

We got our crib, dresser, and chair from Walmart. I have never been a fan, but they had so many great choices! The gray crib is one of my favorite things. The rocker is really comfortable, and was inexpensive enough that when Harrison spits up or colors on it with a sharpie, we won't be heartbroken. :)

Here is a close-up of the quilt I made for him this summer. My sister Jessica and I made matching quilt tops together and I loved working on a project with her. The quilt is really light and will be perfect for humid North Carolina.

My favorite thing in the entire room--Christopher made the little triceratops family when he was in first grade, and his mom protected them for years. I love them. He scratched CJ and '88 on the foot of each one. We bought a shallow old fruit crate to use as a shelf and the details on the sides are really cool.

His alphabet poster--I found it on Etsy for $12 and I love it, but an alphabet poster was the toughest thing for me to choose! There are way too many awesome choices out there!

I made a really simple mobile that I'm not 100 percent sure I love yet. I might change it up after a while. His dinosaur banner was the first thing I made for him.

I made the orange pillow out of left-over fabric from his quilt. His little book basket is waiting for him--it already has his nickname scribbled on the chalkboard. Hank, we can't wait for you to come!
